Day of Silence
Sometimes standing still is a big step forward.
More and more people understand that well-being is an important basis for life.
A day of silence is meant as a wonderful moment for yourself to come to deep relaxation and to recharge. You now have the opportunity to be completely with yourself, you don't have to do anything, you don't have to think about anything. Just nothing for a while. By slowing down you come home to yourself and spend time in the silent, wise space behind your thoughts. You become the observer of yourself and discover what lives inside you. During this day you experience what silence does to your physical body.
It is an enrichment for yourself to spend a day in silence.
Why do people want to experience a day of silence?
- an MOT, updating yourself, feeling what is really important to you
- back to your own base, your intuition and inner knowing
- time for yourself, by being offline for a while
- rest and relaxation
- recovering from burnout or stress-related complaints
- just for a moment not to worry about someone else
- want to take the pressure off
- reconnect with your feelings
- create an overview of things that are important to you
- to increase your clarity and gain new insights
- Joost: After the first guided meditation there was complete silence. To sink into that was an exercise/challenge. The reward was an incredible feeling of inner peace. Big hug for you and big compliments for 'caring', but especially being part of this beautiful day.
- Mieke: I enjoyed it! Very good for me, but really not easy. It's not so much the silence that I find difficult, but rather the return to my own energy. I know that, that's a pitfall of mine. With the exercises of the yoga nidra I easily sank into my body through your assignments/story. Until I didn't really hear you anymore. At the door in my heart I was already 'gone'. I even slept sometimes.
- Jet: The silent afternoon made me aware of the silence in myself. That it is always there. How nice I have it in my own little house. I really liked the meditation, you have a nice voice.
- Anonymously: really special to be together and not have to say anything. What a sense of freedom that gives. A real revelation for me as a chatterbox.
- Sandra: The writing assignment appealed to me the most. To write about my dream coming true and the future that lies ahead, is precisely what is closed to me. I thought that I should write down what I can still do at this moment. That did me good and ensured that I could end it with a good and positive feeling. That is what it has brought me and I will certainly take that experience with me. To look again at the things that are possible in difficult times. I want to tell you that you should especially continue like this. Your peace, your soft voice and the message that everything is allowed in your own way, does a lot of good.
- Niels: Be still!…. I am very familiar with it, and it used to be different. How wonderful in complete care of Brenda, to feel and experience myself again. Afterwards I took a wonderful walk, and then slept wonderfully. Being still for a while, is possible at any time, but here in the church of Zwaagdijk in particular, a wonderful place, and a beautiful experience.
- Anonymously: quiet, quieter, quietest.....
